Moms and their teenage daughters will never understand each other; the gulf is just too great to cross. That is, unless you have a magic lady at a Chinese restaurant. With her fortune cookies you can jump right across that gulf, but along the way you’ll have a pretty Freaky Friday.

That’s what happens in the 2003 version of the movie with an unreasonably talented rock band replacing the diving team of the 1970s version. Jamie Lee Curtis stars as the older half of the duo with a Kernels Of Crisis edition of Lindsay Lohan. It’s super awkward but has some definite fun parts. Thanks to our fabulous Meat Buddies for picking it as our ending to Foreign Bodies Month.

I have not seen this flick, but from what I remember, it was well received I think. Like, this movie is why Lindsay Lohan was ever considered a good actress, and why at one point it was widely believed that she would have a future as a legitimate actress.

Erm, is the episode supposed to cut out at 36:57?

Yeah, looks like the sound file isn’t complete, 36:56 here. Hope to hear the rest soon! ^_^

On the body swap question…I’d be Idris Elba because…well it’s pretty obvious.

  7. Alex Falcone says:

Is this still a problem? It’s working fine for me.

Good call. The answer to everything on the Internet is Elba.

For shame, Chris! The mom in The Parent Trap remake was Natasha Richardson, not Emma Thompson!
