RiaW #9: Trashing a Shopaholic Part 2

MP3

It feels like each book we read is dumber than the one before it, but maybe that’s just because we don’t remember pain as well as we feel it.

okay, mean question, but… why do you do that to yourselves?
I mean: how did that idea come up in the first place?Other than that there are actually two things I would like to say:
    a) as wonderful and highly entertaining as the podcast is, the volume irregularities blow my eardrums away. You guys make such an awesome podcast, it’s kinda sad to get thrown out of it every now and then because of this.b) and (only half joking) I would like to dare you to read the Twilight Companion by Lois H. Gresh. A friend dared me and I was physically unable to get past page 50. You’re welcome ot beat that… though I doubt there is enough good in it for a completement sandwich… (and there’s no audio book to that. thanks for small mercies… but hey, I suffered, so why shouldn’t someone else too?)Other than that: you’re doing a great job. Keep it up.
I’m curious what you’ll read after this one. *g*

Thanks for the feedback, Europe. Some thoughts:-> The genesis of the podcast was this: I do a lot of improv shows and people frequently reference Twilight. I thought I would be in a better place to make fun of it if I’d actually read it. It was too bad to get through on my own, but Chris and Ezra will do anything I say. And it seemed like a good idea to get the experience on tape.-> Sorry about the volume. I suck. The first episode of this podcast is the first piece of audio I’ve ever edited. I’ll pay special attention to levels in the future.-> I think the biggest reason this won’t happen is the lack of audiobook. It’s much harder to commit the time if we can’t be doing other things concurrently. But we will return to Twilight sooner than the smart part of my brain would like. We’re going to read New Moon and watch the movie when it comes out. Other than that, I’m not positive what we’ll read. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks for listening/writing to us!
