If there’s a crime in Baltimore, The Wire will solve it. If there’s a crime ripped from the headlines, Law & Order will solve it. If there’s a crime involving Germanic animals, Grimm will solve it. But if there’s a crime involving a Marine’s body falling out of the sky, you need the fine folks at NCIS.
N.C.I.S. is the Navy Criminal Investigation Service, a fictional group of super cops who solve military crimes using magic screens and invasion of civil liberties. And nerdy, pacifistic comedian Jackie Kashian has a guilty pleasure for this procedural for some reason. So we discussed police tropes, potential spinoffs, and the finer points of aging heart throbs.
Great show! I’m with Jackie – NCIS is my number 1 guilty pleasure – and while there are groan worthy moments, overall it is awesome. And to clarify – Mark Harmon is freaking silver fox. And no, I’m not old, I’m only 35. It’s the bad Gibbs haircut that throws you. And since you reviewed Hocus Pocus last year, I was curious if you recognized McGee – he played 15 year old Thackery Binx (the one turned into a cat). I can’t watch that movie without thinking BABY MCGEE!!!
This is great info, but I assure you we did not recognize a 15-year-old boy / cat in it. I wish we had.
There’s definitely some pretty steamy makeouts between Stacy Edwards and Mark Harmon on Chicago Hope….
