When we went to see Episode 7 last year, we signed a death pact with Disney, one that said that we’re going to get a new Star Wars movie every year until long after we’re all dead and the Earth is a burnt-out wasteland. Rogue One is Disney delivering on that deal.
It’s not bad, obviously. It might even be good. But it’s also got some weirdness that we can’t help but talk about, so dive into this episode. In order to play it, you just need to press the giant master switch in the middle of the field.
Hooray, time to nerd out!. Whoever asked about the “bugs” designing the Death Star was probably referencing the planet full of talking bugs in Episode 2 (one of the horrible movies that didn’t actually happen as mentioned in the episode). The bug leader is shown holding the death star plans and saying they are planning to build it. The fact that it failed to make an impression on any of you is (yet another) indictment of how terrible the prequels are. Despite that, I think they are still considered canon post-Disney.Also, the toad admiral was the same species as Admiral Akbar from ROTJ and TFA. Their species is called the (not joking) Mon Calamari.
Instead of asking us to remember how to spell Aminazon, just put a link on your page here. One click away, no mind strain. 😉
God I had no idea. I looked it up and you are of course correct: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
This is a very fair point. It does exist, it’s buried under that dollar sign icon in the top left. But it should be more prominent.
Ah, ha ha. The plans are a tiny hologram instead of a giant hard drive you need grabby arms to get. That’s so silly.
I haven’t watched it, because I’m more of a trekie than a star wars fan. But I enjoyed the show a lot and I just laughed at how you described it.
The Geonosians (the bugs) designed the Death Star. That was in episode 2, and is cannon. http://www.starwars.com/databank/g... http://www.starwars.com/databank/d... There was a problem they discovered when the weapon got close to completion, that’s why the scientist was brought in. I personally think the prequels are great films. It is an age thing, but it is also a matter of immortalizing the 4-6, and not recognizing the same issues they have. Nowadays it’s just the original 6 though, so it really doesn’t matter. Y’all might get a better understanding of the story by really watching all the movies.
