Do you have too much money and no idea where to “invest” it? You’re in luck, because we recently discovered that if you offer to pay us enough, we’ll read a book you like AND watch the movie version of that book. It’s a bad deal and definitely not financially sound, which is why we’re calling this Poor Decisions month.

Alexis from New York wanted us to read World War Z by Max Brooks and then watch the Brad Pitt movie, so this is the first half of that deal. And we definitely liked it, but we didn’t love it like he probably wanted. Which is another problem of Super Sponsorship: still no refunds.

But we talk zombies and geopolitical problems and probably too much about satellite technology. It’s fun! STILL NO REFUNDS!

Re: Goldilocks, you might be interested to know that there is a mystery novel out there in which the hot/cold/medium porridge discrepancy turns out to be a major plot point. (The Fourth Bear by Jasper Fforde. Someday when I have money maybe I will sponsor it!)

  2. That sounds so weird! I love it!

  3. Sarah Lohmeyer Stanfield says:

Regarding Goldilocks: Mama Bear eats cold porridge because she is used to all her food being cold. Mamas never get to eat their food when it’s hot – someone always needs something, a bathroom break, a drink refill, etc.
