Our boys sit down with The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks and try their hardest not to fall asleep. From the stupid folksy wisdom to grandpa’s painfully slow reading to major plot problems, they can only hope to someday get Alzheimer’s and forget they ever read this terrible book.

I know I say this every time, but this is the worst book ever.

Actually blogs like Racialicious remark a LOT on the idea of the “wise black advisor” its either an old black man or a “sassy” black female. both archetypes are versions of the sexless (as in get-it-on not gender) house slaves. ‘Clueless’ is one notable and fun departure.

  3. Alex Falcone says:

I’m sure we’re not the first to notice Wise Black Advisors, but we are the funniest to ever notice it.

Few general questions, do you guys use Skype to talk? What program do you use to record and edit? Where do you get your segway music? And lastly, what mic do you use? (like brand name)Thanks!

  5. Alex Falcone says:

    Few general answers.
[1] Yep. Sounds pretty good for Skype, doesn’t it?
[2] We use mp3SkypeRecorder to record. Free. Super good.
[3] Our bumper music is just from my music collection. I’m counting on “fair use” by keeping it under 10 seconds.
[4] I use a bottom of the line logitech headset, I don’t know what Ezra uses, and Chris uses the USB mic from Rock Band. For truth.

  6. Ezra says:

I use a free crap headset from a nerd conference.

This is hilarious. I hate “chick lit”, and am so loving this. I haven’t yet listened to Twilight, because it was a really dumb story, (If my boyfriend were a vampire, I would never, ever put any naked body parts near his mouth, which suddenly makes sex with him uninteresting and disappointing.) but now I may have to.
