After weeks of dry spells, the points keep coming as Alex crosses out his first point movie. The panel is split on this cult 90s comedy but somehow the episode turned out really good. Also you can watch it on YouTube now!

Next up: the points keep coming as we travel via Jeff Michalski to Ezra’s 2nd movie, The Princess Diaries (2001).

  1. I see this as a portrayal of the impossibility of communication between people born with high status and limited education and those of low status and high intelligence who are forced into clerical roles and subservience by a society which only permits those born with privilege to work creatively.

The result of the cognitive dissonance caused by a society which propagandises the dream of meritocracy and the futility of insight and accomplishment causes mental illness. The field of psypchology as it pertains to ‘abnormal psychology’ is populated by people of little talent and tremendous entitlement. Full 60% ( an OFFICAIL and conservative figure) of the celebrated studies in psychology have been demonstrated to be ‘unrepeatable’ which is to say THEY COOKED THE BOOKS WITH THEIR STATITICS.

Sociopathy is a condition which people are born with. The transformation of Carey’s character into a sociopath is convenient for lazy narrative structure and is reassuringly close to the cliches and nonsense we see asserted in every police procedural.

When I accused you all of branding yourselves with the names of false gods I was referring to a discussion you had where each of you equated your status/social value to the expense of the vaccines which you were required to take.

I am fully vaccinated, I understand the process of ‘attenuation’ and know the limits of biological interventions. I also understand that strong recieved opinions without the appropriate and necessary level of specific research into science and history are, when confidently expressed publicly, merely free propaganda for repressive regimes.

This knowledge makes me mad, and interesting word that , mad.
